PH 1/1 Portable Lamp
Poul Henningsen set out to create glare-free lighting that directs illumination precisely where needed while producing soft, comfortable shadows. Working with incandescent bulbs, he applied a mathematical approach based on the logarithmic spiral, which led to the development of the System PH in 1926. Over time, this system expanded into hundreds of models, including floor lamps, table lamps, pendants, chandeliers, and wall lights.
The PH 1/1 Portable Lamp is a cordless interpretation of the classic table lamp and features the smallest shade set within the System PH. Known as a “whole” sized lamp, it is defined by its compact proportions, with a top shade of დაახლოებით 10 cm and the characteristic 3:2:1 ratio between the upper, middle, and lower shades. These “whole” lamps are designed to minimize glare, making them especially suitable for elevated placement, where they provide both high-quality illumination and a warm atmosphere.
Designed for versatility, the PH 1/1 Portable Lamp can be used both indoors and outdoors. Its cordless design makes it particularly practical in areas without easy access to power, such as inside a bookcase or on a table.
Light concept
This portable table lamp emits a glare-free, soft and comfortable light, that has a dim-to-warm function, giving the perfect illumination for many different activities. The PH 1/1 Portable is designed on the principle of a reflective three-shade system, which creates harmonious and glare-free lighting.
