Materials:
Our products are made of wood composite, consisting of industrial waste from the Nordic and Baltic forest industries and recycled biodegradable biopolymers. The material has a smooth surface with a natural look and feel, and a low carbon footprint. It even has a mild wood-like smell when you get close to it. The material can be coloured with naturally sourced color pigments, or even painted or treated with oil. However, we do not treat our furniture in order to make it easier to recycle.
Our products are 3D-printed using recycled and bio-based materials. This entails that slight variations in colour and texture is natural and the differences make each piece truly unique. Be aware that exposure to direct sunlight may fade the colour of the product over time.
The material is recyclable, which means that when your object reaches its end of life, new material can be made from the old product. Please do not discard your Hyfer Objects product, instead get in touch with us on info@unacasainterior.com
Care Guide:
For dusting and light cleaning use a soft, dry cloth. For further cleaning use a damp cloth with mild soap, repeat the process with clean water. Be aware that exposure to direct sunlight may fade the colour of the product over time.
The Terrazzo table top should always be treated before use. You can use oil for natural stone such as marble. The treatment should be done 2-4 times or as indicated on the package. Any excess oils can be wiped away using a dry cloth. The treatment can then be done once every 6 months or as needed. Terrazzo is sensitive to acids which can cause marks. Acid can for example be found in acidic cleaning liquids, wine, vinegar, fruit juice and coffee. If anything is spilt on the tabletop it should be wiped away immediately. For daily cleaning, you can use a damp cloth. If necessary you can use a mild soap or a marble or natural stone specific soap.
