Planting trowel Old Dutch Model

Planting trowel Old Dutch Model

A timeless Sneeboer classic, the Planting Trowel is based on a design dating back to the early 20th century.

Hand-forged and sharpened on both sides, its strong, precise blade makes it effortless to create clean planting holes and work accurately in the soil. A beautifully simple tool, refined through generations of craftsmanship.

The Planting Trowel is also a favourite of renowned English gardener and television presenter Monty Don — a fitting endorsement of a tool made for serious gardeners.

A true garden essential, built to last for generations.

Description:

The weight of the planting trowel is concentrated in the blade, which may make it seem slightly unbalanced. However, the trowel is not designed for scooping or transplanting, but specifically for making planting holes.

Creating a planting hole is simple: simply push the trowel into the soil and move it gently back and forth. Sneeboer planting trowels are also used to plant the millions of flower bulbs at Keukenhof.

The planting trowel is available with an ash or cherry wood handle in a range of different lengths.
