Tissø Sofa
The Tissø (pronounced “tee-soh”) Sofa by Alfred Christensen is a reissue of the beautifully proportioned Model 185, originally designed in 1952 for Slagelse Møbelværk — the renowned Danish furniture manufacturer Alfred owned with his brother, Erik.
Defined by its distinctive heart-shaped backrest, the sofa combines sculptural elegance with a sense of warmth and character. Its name pays tribute to Lake Tissø in West Zealand, where Alfred and his son, Guido, would often spend time fishing together.
A timeless expression of Danish design, the Tissø Sofa brings together considered proportions, distinctive detailing, and a rich connection to its history.
