Severin Hansen Model 36 Desk
Designed in 1958 by the young Danish designer Severin Hansen, the Model 36 desk is a celebrated example of Danish Modern. Its refined proportions, elegantly tapered legs and distinctive three-way mitred joints give the design its unmistakable character.
The desk gained royal recognition at its first exhibition, where the future Queen Margrethe II was captivated by its design. Her father, King Frederik IX, later gifted the desk to her.
Today, the design is reintroduced as part of the Margrethe Collection, celebrating its royal connection and enduring Danish design heritage.
