PH 3/3 Pendant Centenary Edition
Honouring the legacy of Poul Henningsen, the PH 3/3 Pendant Centenary Edition celebrates the iconic System PH, developed in 1926. Based on a refined mathematical principle, the three-shade system enabled Henningsen to create lighting of exceptional quality for a wide range of applications.
Crafted in aged brass with a carefully applied lacquer to preserve its patina, the pendant features a mouth-blown, four-layered Amber upper shade and three-layered White Opal lower shades. Glossy on the outside and sandblasted matte white on the inside, the glass creates a warm, ambient upward glow alongside soft, diffused and glare-free downward illumination.
The PH 3/3 is a compact ‘whole size’ lamp, with a top shade of approximately 30 cm and proportions of 3:2:1 across its three shades. Designed to minimise glare, its balanced form combines refined illumination with a warm, atmospheric presence.
Inspired by the original 1926 suspension design, the pendant features decorative thumbscrews for adjusting the light source and achieving optimal positioning within the shades. Paired with a dark brown textile cord, the PH 3/3 Pendant Centenary Edition brings a distinctive vintage character to contemporary interiors. The PH 3/3 Pendant Centenary Edition is based on Poul Henningsen’s System PH and features a three-shade set with White Opal lower shades and an Amber upper shade, all glossy on the outside and sandblasted matte white on the inner side to ensure a soft diffused and glare-free light and a high level of light comfort. The amber-coloured upper shade provides pleasant ambient upward glow.
