PH 4 1/2-3 Outdoor Wall Lamp
Poul Henningsen developed the three-shade system in 1925–1926 in collaboration with Louis Poulsen, with the aim of creating glare-free light, directing illumination where needed, and producing soft shadows. The system evolved into a wide family of designs across table, floor, wall, and pendant lamps.
PH Wall, introduced in 1966, is part of this collection. It features a large top shade of approximately 45 cm combined with lower shades from the 3/3 model, forming one of Henningsen’s characteristic hybrid designs.
Based on the principles of the logarithmic spiral, the layered shades ensure even light distribution while effectively controlling glare, resulting in a soft and balanced illumination.
Light concept
The fixture is designed based on the principle of a reflective three-shade system, which directs the light downwards. The shades have a matt white painted inside to ensure diffused, comfortable light distribution.

This product must be treated as electronic waste. The product is packaged in a fabric bag and a cardboard box. The cardboard is made from min. 75% recycled fibremass. Additional cardboard material comes from FSC approved sources.
