Etime
Etime emerges from the dialogue between two fundamental geometric forms: the square and the circle. Together, they shape both the object and its meaning, creating a considered tension between structure and continuity, stability and movement.
The cubic volume evokes time as an ordered and finite dimension, while the circular imprint engraved into each face introduces a sense of continuity—suggesting something fluid, perpetual and potentially infinite. The result is a subtle balance between boundaries and openness.
Mouth-blown glass gives Etime a substantial, tactile presence. Its clean surface emphasises the purity of the geometry, while the interplay between transparency and density allows light to reflect and refract across the form, revealing shifting layers of depth and perception.
Designed as both a functional object and a study in form, Etime's modular character allows it to stand alone or become part of more complex compositions. Arranged in sequence, the pieces create a visual rhythm that interacts with and enhances the surrounding space.
Through its restrained geometry and material presence, Etime transforms an everyday object into a quiet meditation on the nature of time.
